Hasn’t the American public caught on yet? Like homosexual unions, Terri Schiavo, the threat of terrorists, the “war” on drugs, extramarital sex running rampant in the White House and common people breaking wind in the halls of the mighty we now have the “immigration crisis.”
Sure, there is a problem with people sneaking into the country without the proper permission. But when did it become an epic crisis…? Okay, I guess I know when–as soon as the GOP realized they were about to lose control of their own personal ATM: the United States Congress.
Frankly, I don’t blame them. The Houdinis of politics, the GOP always feints with a distraction. When they realize that the people are finding out how lousy they are at governing, the GOP creates a crisis so they can look like “leaders.”
That is what they do. The fable of “The Scorpion and the Frog” is instructive...
